Paul Betenly was an English tailor who started his business in Milan in 1981. The fabric is still designed there, and the company runs a setup that is rare in tailored menswear. They own the process end to end, from their own sheep farms in Australia and New Zealand through their own yarn, their own fabric, and their own factory.
